The Hidden Link Between Government Control and Poor Health
Let’s be honest — you don’t need to wear a tinfoil hat to notice something’s off. Health is
supposed to be personal. It’s supposed to be about YOU. But somewhere along the way, the
people making the rules stopped talking with us and started talking at us.
Now, I’m no expert. But as a citizen, I, like you, am paying attention. I read. I ask questions. And
what I see is that more and more, our health decisions aren’t just influenced by government
policies — they’re shaped by them. And not always for the better.
Take school lunches, for example. Federal guidelines were designed with “balance” in mind, but
anyone who’s seen what shows up on a kid’s tray knows better. Pizza counts as a vegetable,
cartons of chocolate milk get a pass, and processed foods dominate because they’re cheap to
ship and easy to store. On paper, it checks the government’s boxes. In reality, it sets children up
for poor nutrition habits that ripple into adulthood with a future of obesity and diabetes.
And for decades, government-backed nutrition guidelines pushed a low-fat, high-carb diet.
That’s why supermarkets have shelves filled with “fat-free” snacks that are loaded with sugar
and other processed chemicals. What happened? Obesity and diabetes skyrocketed. Decades
later, many experts admitted the advice wasn’t as sound as it seemed, but the damage had
already been done. That wasn’t a neutral “recommendation.” It shaped how millions ate — and
paid the price in their health.
None of this requires cartoon villains. It’s not a James Bond plot. It’s something quieter, but in a
way, more dangerous — systems that prioritize control over curiosity, creativity, and
compassion.
Control doesn’t always storm the gates. Sometimes it seeps in through everyday “rules” and
“guidelines.” Like:
– One-size-fits-all health policies that ignore the fact that our bodies, cultures, and
circumstances are different.
– Censorship of certain ideas or treatments — not because they’ve been proven harmful, but
because they don’t fit big government’s narrative.
– Institutions making decisions from hundreds or thousands of miles away, without knowing the
people they’re affecting.
On paper, it can look harmless. In real life, it can quietly chip away at your well-being on all
levels, resulting in STRESS.
When your choices stop mattering, your nervous system takes the hit. Psychologists call it
learned helplessness. It’s when you’ve been put in enough situations where nothing you do
changes the outcome, so your body and brain just… stop trying.
The results aren’t abstract. You might see it in broken sleep patterns, emotional eating, brain
fog, low motivation, or that heavy, “off” feeling you can’t shake. Science backs it — chronic
stress can shrink parts of your brain tied to memory and learning, and it can weaken your
immune system over time. This is why prolonged stress is linked directly to health decline.
Think back to 2020. Millions of people were told to take a brand-new, fast-tracked vaccine or
lose their job. That’s not a choice — that’s a corner.
For many, there was no acknowledgment of natural immunity, even though studies — like those
from Johns Hopkins — showed that prior infection offered strong protection. People who had
recovered from COVID and had antibodies were treated no differently than those who had never
been exposed.
In New York City, workers across multiple industries lost their livelihoods over this. In California,
six BART employees were fired after refusing the vaccine on religious grounds. A jury later
awarded them $7.8 million, saying the agency could have accommodated them without undue
hardship.
Whether you supported the vaccine or not, here’s the bigger point: it was public health turned
into public control. And when that happens, trust erodes — along with health.
I’m not telling you to ignore science. I’m saying science and sovereignty should work together.
Because you live in your body — not a government office.
